Veteran Friend's - Just down the road.

Just wanted to report that I have the great pleasure of residing just a hop, skip, and a JUMP away from a WW2 Airborne hero.  Some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Mr. & Mrs. John Marr.  I met John and his wife Willa through a work friend.  It's a small world after all. John was with the 507th PIR.

I visited with John and Willa just the other day and was blown away by his stories and personality.  He is in great spirits and never stops smiling.  When I arrived he had already laid out his maps, folders, and clippings.  They were displayed on his kitchen table and ready for business.  He still has some original maps that he carried in his dispatch case.  He was missing the Ste Mére Eglise map - I will be taking him one of mine for his records and display.  He fought around Jil and Dom's manor for the first two days, how awesome.LAISSE LE SAUT!!!!!!
